There you go!
Initial plan: To give up on ACCA - my most hated course in the world at the moment.
Revised plan: To give the last two papers another shot in December.

The subjects I love...
...were definitely not included in the syllabus of the course I took in college.
I was reading the few pages in The Star's Education section today on Additional Mathematics and Physics, and I really do miss those two subjects. I've always wondered whether I would've enjoyed a science-related course more than accounting. I think I would have.
This blob of thought comes a day before my ACCA results are released. I'll post how badly I did when I'm up to it. I don't expect to pass anything so... X(
PS: Congrats to TAR College on achieving the Platinum Status from ACCA (though I do not know how much better it is from the previous status).

I just witnessed a fourth year college student crying no thanks to some idiot lecturer who decides to fail him by trying to show off in front of a PhD holder by asking too many question a student may not be able to answer. I feel so sorry for the guy who was put under the group being evaluated by that very lecturer. It's so sad to fail more than half of the course, many of the students whom have prepared so hard for their presentation. Isn't a lecturer supposed to give guidance and try to be as lenient as possible to students (or maybe not), who not only have one subject for the semester but a few others (because they do not have the flexibility to choose the number of subjects they want to take in a semester)? This is truly UNFAIR!
It was unfair to me too when I was in college but when final year came, I was much relieved with lesser assignments (though there was so much more boring stuff to study!). I quite understand the feeling of putting in so much hard work in preparing for a presentation but failing due to the inability to answer questions.
Back to the guy. Because of the idiot lecturer, he decides that he doesn't want to continue with the course as he would have to repeat the presentation, not to mention the possibility of getting a different topic. He started getting off track from his studies and did something else (though not illegal) and his mother (and family) just found out about it. To make matters worse, his mother said that she wanted to have a talk with him (it was more of a shouting fest, with only one person doing the shouting) and made him promise to continue with the course he has already lost interest in. I hope he won't do anything stupid, however miserable he's feeling right now.
Well, I'd just like to wish the best of luck to him in his studies and his future (may he defeat that idiot lecturer) PLUS good luck to those who'll be receiving their ACCA results in a week's time!
