Haze

I'd like to quote my mum, "The haze is terrible!" Yes, indeed it is. It stinks of smoke, not only outdoors but even indoors. Looks like it has decided to stay put in Malaysia for the time being. I do wish it'll clear up soon 'cos it's not a nice feeling walking in the haze.

My ding dong sister has deleted my picture from the camera without asking me first.

I can finally download large files without having to leave the computer on for too long. Thanks to FlashGet, an amazing discovery by my brother. Only thing is I don't think it can download from torrents.

Lesson learnt

I learnt a lesson from the aunties (includes my mum) in my family last night - this is in general: If you can help it, try not to work for an Indian boss, especially those with psychological problems i.e. psychos This is particularly true in small businesses.

I went to the PIKOM PC Fair yesterday (II). This time it was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Compared to the previous venue, the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), it seemed a little bit crammed. It was jam-packed with people. Could hardly move. Only bought ink crtridges and CD-Rs.

My brother seems to have taken on a really annoying trait from my mum - telling the whole universe about everything, including things he should not tell. I'm not telling you what it is because if I did I would not be worthy of typing this. Hah! Now I've got to be careful of what I tell him.

Ah....just finished typing my tax coursework. FINALLY!

Sister just came back. DARN!

Why does my mother never listen to reason? It's extremely frustrating. She can never understand that she is sometimes wrong about things.

WebSMS

I just found out that the Maxis website has this service. It allows people like me - people who are too cheap to send an SMS by the handphone - to send SMSs without having to pay for them. It's a DREAM come true. Hahahaha. But the number of characters is limited to 130 characters. The person whom you sent the SMS to can reply back 'cos it sort of like chatting but he/she will be charged 15 sen per SMS, if sent by phone. Anybody can register for this service, you needn't have to be a Maxis customer but the SMSs can only be sent to Maxis numbers i.e. 012 & 017.

Oh no! It's like almost the end of the semester (4 more weeks to go) and I have not even read a single thing for any of my subjects. I'm in deep shit!
FMC is a killer subject (I'm surprised I have not dropped dead yet) and the Taxation text book is just too thick. What am I to do?????
I've been watching Full House, a Korean drama. It's hilarious .

My sister has gone to Fraser's Hill for an ACCA camp. So that means I get the room to myself for almost 3 whole days. Good riddance!

Gotta go collect my contact lenses and spectacle lenses now. Lazy lah.

Me - Blur?

During yesterday's tax tutorial my lecturer/tutor asked my class rep who, in my class, graduated with distinction (diploma level). He was really angry at us 'cos, as usual, we couldn't answer his questions and so he wanted to know the so-called "smart" students. My class rep went ahead and named those people on by one. Every name my class rep said, my tutor had some comment. There were some who didn't look like they could have gotten a distinction at all - well, that's what my tutor thought lah. I guess I was one of them. He said to me, "You? Why you come to class look so blur blur?" Yes, I admit I'm a really blur person. I can't help it. I was born like that. I got a distinction by pure luck. I am NOT a smart person nor am I hardworking. Compared to my classmates, I'm one of the laziest.

Tax research

I am currently doing research for my tax coursework. It's currently not going too well. Can't find anything on Malaysian tax. Why does the Internet lack info on Malaysian stuff? Luckily it's a group-coursework.

Rich kids?

These past few days I noticed that many secondary school students have handphones on them. How do I know they're in secondary school? Why by their uniforms of course. Do their schools allow them to bring the handphones to school? If yes, they're really lucky. I remember during the good ol' days when nobody was allowed to bring most electronic gadgets to school. We couldn't even bring a walkman to school, what more a handphone. But luckily we were allowed to bring a calculator. Without the calculator in Forms 4 & 5, I'd have failed Maths.

Old

I believe I'm getting really old. I came back early from college today because I was feeling tired. And as we all know, tiredness is a sign of old age. So I'm old. I hardly did anything today. Only went for a tutorial class and a sort of lecture by an ACCA representative. That's it. How could I be so tired?

I was watching Couples Fear Factor yesterday. It was the finale. I was rooting for Leah & Roberto to win. But Dean & Ashley aka Barbie & Ken had to win it. I wouldn't mind even if Craig & Maria won. But Dean & Ashley???? *SIGH* They've won so many other stuff already. 4 jeeps!

It's raining (not men, though)

It's been raining since noon again. Am currently freezing. Have been eating too much. Feel like eating rojak now.

I wanna read the 6th Harry Potter book! Haven't got it yet 'cos RM99.90 is just too expensive. Anybody wanna buy it for me? I guess not.

Argh! The top layer of my CD-RW just came out. Can't use it anymore. There goes a CD-RW.

I need to go bathe now. I've not bathed since I woke up at 12.30 p.m. today. Do I stink or what? I think I do. Ciaoz!

I'm broke

It's been raining since noon. Nice and cold. Perfect for sleeping. Too bad I was in the library doing "homework", therefore didn't sleep. But it was freezing cold in there.

I currently have a huge hole in my pocket. I splashed RM515 on my spectacles and contact lenses. I'm broke! Power went up by 25.

Have finally finished my part of FMC coursework. Currently waiting for the tax one. It'll probably be last minute work since we're entering the eigth week already.

Just Married is a hilarious movie.

Am very tired. Wanna sleep but can't help thinking of tutorials I need to finish. *YAWN*

Badminton, F1 & College

Lee Chong Wei won!!!!! He managed to defend his Malaysian Open title. Didn't watch it, though. Heard my sister screaming in front of the TV.

Am happy 'cos Montoya FINALLY won a race for this season. Didn't watch that also. But it doesn't matter 'cos he WON!


The college decided to cut its power supply AGAIN(!) today. Do they not pay the electricity bill??? Sheesh. It was bloody hot in the library (had a discussion for coursework). The only good thing was that tax lecture was cancelled (but would be replaced next week....ARGH!). I wanted to stay till six 'cos I had not done my tax tutorial yet. *SIGH*.

I was watching Kazaam on Saturday (I think). I thought it was a really stupid show which did not seem to make any sense to me. I didn't even know what was going on and everything seemed to happen too fast. If you ever come across this show, DO NOT WATCH IT as it'll be a complete waste of your time!

Crap

I stepped on crap today, and what's worse: I was leaving for college! I had just finished wearing my shoes when I saw something on the porch. It looked like a dried chili padi which had gone bad (it was black, of course). So I used my sole to kick it. Turned out to be crap! Damn! Luckily I managed to wash it off without wetting the cloth part of my shoe. Whew!

I'm starting to get nervous , as i always do when there are assignments to be done. Scared about not passing it up on time, scared of dping it wrongly therefore not passing the coursework and meaning that I'll not be able to take the end-of-semester exam. So far there's only one but I'll be getting the Tac coursework next week. Argh! Stress!

Yellow

Birthday & Student Conference

I am old! An achievement?......Maybe. Woke up at 1.30 p.m. Slept for more than 12 hours. Went to eat crabs at Teluk Gong. Yum!

Yesterday, 25th June 2005, My 20th Birthday:

Woke up at 5.45 a.m. because I thought that my bro was going to college at the same time as my sis and me. He wasn't. Reached the college hall at 8.00 a.m. for the TARC-ACCA Student Conference 2005. Had an OK time there. Was basically held to help those who attended develop their soft skills. Well, mine needs lots of developing. Registration was at 8.00 a.m. We were divided into groups of about 14 people per group. I was in group 2. It started at around 8.30 a.m. with speeches by the president of the FA society, a guy from ACCA and the Principal of TARC, who opened the conference. Then we had a tea break. Ate an egg sandwich. Then we had a workshop. There was a speaker, Ms Pauline Loong (I think that's how her name is spelt). She was quite funny, but it was pretty boring listening. For the fist session, she spoke about communication. The second session, which was after lunch was on goals/profession. She had some activities for us though which was quite fun. The activities required us to communicate with each other/listen/think. One activity required us to listen to her instructions and we had to draw out whatever she asked us to. The following are the instructions (roughly 'cos I couldn't remember exactly what she said):

1. Draw an oval to fill the whole page.
2. Draw a star on the first third of the oval.
3. Draw two stars at the middle of the oval.
4. Colour in the latter stars.
5. Draw horizontal, wavy lines over the two stars.
6. Draw a letter M on the bottom thrid of the oval.
7. Draw a letter W to meet the letter M.
8. Draw a wavy line along the outer top-half of the oval.

The bottom pictures show what I drew and what the picture should have looked like (right). I obviously wasn't listening to what she said 'cos mine came out looking really funny.


The conference ended at 5.45 p.m. which was later than planned.

Reached home at 6-something p.m. Didn't have the chance to bathe as we were already late. So, packed everything in the car and headed to Gor-ee's house. When we reached there nobody else was there yet, except Jon. Celebrated two birthdays - Lak-ee's (which is on 2nd July) & mine. Dinner was sort of nasi lemak style without the lemak rice. Pong tay!!!!! Fruit rojak - thanks Gor-ee!! Incidentally, my group's name was ROJAK because we had people from different states in our group. Had a nice time sitting in Gor-ee's garden. Wasn't hot 'cos it was breezy. Was feeling sleepy so went back at around 12 a.m. which is actually quite early considering that we used to chat till 1/2 a.m. K.O.ed the minute I reached home.

People have been asking me what I wanted for my birthday. The answer was always MONEY! Their reactions were all the same - CANNOT!. Hey, you guys asked me what I wanted and I want money. Therefore, I have IOUs.

This is to my sister: There is something I want for my birthday present. I'm sure this is something you can afford as it doesn't involve money. I would like you to put family first instead of your stinking friends for a whole year starting 1st July 2005. You cannot cancel outings with the family just because your friend(s) asked you to go out with them. You cannot allow your friends to use the computer unless they pay for it 'cos it's not fair to Cheong who gets scolding very often for using the computer too much while your friends can use it for free. If you agree to this do get back to me. Otherwise just ignore this post. Oh, another thing is that if you agree to this and do not follow it, you'll have to give me what I asked for earlier.

I'm gonna be old

Aiks! It's my last day as a teenager. I'm gonna be 20 (which = OLD!). But, it's an achievement.

I'm feeling really disgruntled now. Here's why:
I was in my brother's room doing my homework when my sister's friend called her. She wanted to use the computer so my sister said that she could use it. THIS is why I'm feeling what I'm feeling right now. I mean, it's really unfair that my brother gets told off for using the computer everyday (he's family), while my sister is allowed to allow her friends to use the computer FOC! Since when did our house turn into a free-of-charge Internet cafe for her friends?! It's not the first time. She's allowed a few other friends, before this, to use our computer. *SIGH* But there's nothing I can say about it (except for here). Friends always come first for her, family is way behind somewhere.

I just watched The Naked Chef. I didn't know it's so easy to make Tempura batter.

• 1 cup corn flour
• 2 cups plain flour
• Ice cold water

Then when finished frying sprinkle salt on the Tempura stuff.
I'm hungry now .

New bag

My mum sewed this bag for me! Yay! Thanks a lot mum! She started sewing it yesterday and finished it today. The right pic is the inside of the bag.

What a day!

Woke up at the same time as any other weekday - 6 a.m. Slept in the LRT, as usual (real bad habit of mine ). Didn't finish tax homework (again!) so had to do in the canteen and library. Went for tutorial at 10 a.m. Was given different question to do while tutor went out to do his thing. Sheesh, he should have told us he was giving us another question then I wouldn't have had to rush to do my homework. Was less than half way through when he suddenly appeared in the classroom. *POOF*, there he was. I was sitting in front today and nearest to the door so I was the first to kena. He said, 'Let me see what you've done. WHAT?! Why so slow? I gave you half an hour!" Then he went round the whole class commenting on how much each person has done, some getting hit by him for doing nothing at all. Hey, he shouldn't have done that. Some of us came in much later after he left the class and didn't know there was another question waiting for us to be done. And my classmates are really selfish. Couldn't those who were in class early told the others who came late that we had to take the piece of paper lying in front of the class and do the question???!!!!! What's wrong with you people? So he gave us another 5 minutes to "round up our answers". It's really stressful being in his class. He's really demanding: always wanting the perfect answer and if your English is not good, it's likely you're gonna be "made fun of". His class has turned more into an English class rather than a tax class. Luckily I didn't have to answer any question today, I only had to read out a question.

Then went for FMC tutorial. Got coursework today. Uh oh! Seems difficult. Was daydreaming again in lecture.

Came home to find a new bag for muah. Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much mum!

I finally got my ID number. Got it from the SBS office.

I feel GUILTY!

I feel really guilty for using the computer everyday. Not only is the electricity bill higher than normal (but of course my brother uses the computer much more than me and he doesn't give a rat's ass about the bill), but I'm way behind doing my homework. GAH!

Uh oh, I need to get off the PC now.

Why, oh why?

Oh, why is the library staff so slow? As I'm going for a conference organized by the FA Society, I need to give my new ID number (to whoever is in charge lah). I was told I could get it from the library. I went there and was told that my data had not been entered yet. I applied for a new ID on Thursday last week. This shows how slow they are. Tsk tsk. I shall try again tomorrow.

Why do most mothers like to tell everything about their children to almost everybody they know?? I find it really hard to answer people when they comment on something I did. Really embarrassing sometimes. I'll just have to live with it.

Oh no! Have tax tutorial tomorrow! Have not done yet.

I just saw a man on a motorcycle spit on the road at the round about. Why????? Why are Malaysians like that? It's really disgusting!
Malaysians are litter bugs I tell you. No wonder it's really hard to keep the country clean.

No no no noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dropped my bag today and dented my bottle!!!!!!! Argh.....It was a Christmas gift. I feel sad......

I came acroos a name in my class's name list today. Low Read Learn. Interesting choice of name by that person's parents. It's really unique. But didn't the parents think before naming their child by that name? I mean people will make fun of that person's name. Or unless the person who was filling in the birth certificate had some hearing problems.

Went to MidValley Megamall today. Watched.Mr. & Mrs. Smith. It was OK lah. Quite funny here and there. It was a little violent , that's why it's 18SG. I wanted to smack the guy sitting next to me. He kept saying out loud "WOAH!", making funny movements and jumping out of his seat whenever a scene appeared "funny" to him.

Bought 2 new CDs at a Chinese book fair there. Both are under Music for the Heart & Soul by Imee Ooi. Not the kind of music many people enjoy I would say. But it's quite relaxing (when I heard it there lah). Haven't tested them yet. Maybe tomorrow when I'm doing my homework I'll listen to, at least, one of them.

Finally, the group listings are out! Waited two weeks for it. I was hoping that three of us, Lei Ye, June Ann & me would be in the same class. Only Lei Ye & I are in the same class, Group 5 (1 AFA 5). I called Lei Ye to tell her this. She sounded ecstatic when I told her the list is out. But her tone changed when I told her that I'll be in the same class as her whereas June Ann will be in another class. She didn't sound happy. It's either she's disappointed that all three of us aren't in the same class or it's because she's stuck being in the same class with me instead of being in the same class with June Ann.

I've watched this on Astro Wah Lai Toi before. I found it quite a nice show. Maybe because it was mostly set in US so you don't see the usual HK buildings and all. Another thing is the soundtrack. The songs are really nice. I find them quite soothing to the ear.

Yay! I have no classes tomorrow. My time table is not "tetap" yet as the SBS office people are super SLOW. Well, it's a good thing though because we got to choose which tutorial classes we wanted to attend this week. I didn't want to go to college five times this week so I chose to go for two classes on Tuesday and one yesterday (Wednesday).

I seem to have fallen in love with the Sony Ericsson W800i handphone which is not even out yet. Sigh~~~~
I'm sure it'll be super expensive.

Something about mothers

My aunt (Jee-ee) read this to some of my family members over Skype. She mentioned it when she was in Malaysia. According to a website it was first written by Orien Fifer in the Phoenix Gazette.


WORLD'S MEANEST MOTHER

I had the meanest mother in the whole world. While other kids ate candy for breakfast, I had to have cereal, eggs and toast. When others had coke and candy for lunch, I had to eat a sandwich. As you can guess, my dinner was also different from other children.

My mother insisted in knowing where we were at all times. You'd think we were on a chain gang. She had to know who our friends were and what we were doing. She insisted that if we said we'd be gone for an hour, that we would be gone for an hour or less.

I am ashamed to admit it, but she actually had the nerve to break the child labor law. She made us work! We had to learn to wash dishes, make beds, learn to cook and all sorts of cruel things. I believe she lay awake nights thinking up mean things for us to do.

She always insisted on telling us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. By the time we were teenagers she was much wiser, and our lives became rougher.

None of this tooting the horn of a car for us to come running. She embarrassed us no end by making our dates and friends come to the door to get us. I forgot to mention, while my friends were dating at the mature age of 12 and 13, my old-fashioned mother refused to let me date until I was 15 and 16.

My mother was a complete failure as a mother. None of us has ever been arrested, or beaten a spouse. Each of my brothers served his time in the service of his country. And who do wehave to blame for this terrible way we turned out? You are right, our mean mother.

Look at all the things we missed. We never got to take part in a riot, burn our draft cards and a million and one other things that our friends did. She made us grow up into respectful, educated, honest adults.

Using this as a background, I am trying to raise my children. I stand a little taller and I am filled with pride when my children call me mean. You see, I thank God He gave me the meanest mother in the whole world. I think the world could use more mean moms and dads.

Laziness~~~~~

Ah.....I have just finished writing out my notes for the week. It took me a good 4 hours plus but of course I took some breaks in between lah. *OUCH* my aching back. I had to sit on my bed to do my work. Membongkok badan till it ached. Looks like the only way I won't get a back ache is if I hang out in the library again.

Although I have finished doing up my notes, I have not touched any of my tutorials yet.Man I am so doomed. All I have to do now is pray and hope that I'm not in Group 3. Luckily there's no tutorial for Tax tomorrow as my lecturer is on leave. Whew!

Oh no!

I am so doomed! It's almost Sunday and I have not written my notes out nor started doing any of my tutorials yet. I think I shall do it after this if I manage to keep myself awake.

I just watched Jumanji on HBO. I didn't know Kristen Dunst started acting since she was a kid.

I've been using Skype a lot these days. It sure beats using the telephone cos it's free. And if you're using a fixed-payment Internet service it's really worth it. I get to communicate with my relatives who are living overseas. But my aunt said that they might be scrapping it soon because telephone companies are losing money. Oh well, I hope they won't do anything about it.

What life should be vs. Reality

Really! People in Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting) cum Part 2 and Part 3 of ACCA 2005/2006 (Year 1), AFA 1 in short, are extremely over-kiasu. Same story again today. Worse then yesterday actually. I've given up all hope of hoping for this kiasuness to stop soon.

Went out for lunch at The Curve today. Ate in the Marche Movenpick Restarurant. Food wasn't that fantastic and was quite expensive. But the restaurant had quite a number of different varieties.
A little info on this restaurant (this was written on the passport given to anybody who enters the restaurant used to order food):

I was just thinking. It would be so nice if I was just sleeping outdoors on nice soft grass, under a clear blue sky, with a tree nearby, flowers around me, no mosquitoes, nothing to think about and a piano player playing a grand piano. Ah, that would be the life. But of course I was thinking of this when I just woke up from a short nap.

Yes!!!! no classes tomorrow. But not for long, I'll probably have classes next week. Bleh! I don't like college, but what am I doing there???? I amaze myself sometimes.

Ahhhhh!!!!!!! Cannot tahan!!!!!!

Oh my, oh my. The kiasuness of the people in Advanced Diploma seems to be getting from bad to worse. Advanced Diploma is really different from Diploma; I am refering to the people, not the course. I had a lecture at 8.00 a.m. today. Of all my two years in Diploma, whenever I had an early morning lecture (i.e. 8.00 a.m.), the lecture hall was never ever half full at 7.55 a.m. But today, I got the shock of my life! I entered the lecture hall at 7.55 a.m. to find it more than half full!!!! And it was the front rows that were bulging with people. My gosh! They either could not sleep and decided to go to college early (maybe 6.00 a.m.?) or they're really really really KIASU! I don't know whether I can stand this any longer. But it's only the 3rd day. *SIGH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

Yawn!!!!

Still as sleepy as ever. Must be the heat. But can't possibly be, it rained today. Hmm.....

After two days in Advanced Diploma, I've noticed that some people are really kiasu. Fighting (well, not exactly) to sit in the first few rows. Sheesh. What's your problem, people???

I finally got to listen to Green Day's album, American Idiot after finding out what a .rar file is. It's pretty good, I mean the album.

Miss Canada won the Miss Universe 2005 title. I didn't get to watch it. My mum wanted to watch it but she didn't know what time it was. I just found out, it was at 10.00 a.m., unless my time converter is wrong lah.

IE sucks

I was just viewing my blog using Internet Explorer. I realised that it distorts my blog. I never knew because I use Mozilla Firefox at home. I'm typing this in college and am, therefore, stuck using IE. Man, it sucks! Mozilla is so much better than IE. It hardly has any pop ups and it doesn't download all those stupid search bars. IE lags a lot too, it makes the computer so slow. I heard Opera is good too, haven't tried it out yet though. Maybe I should. just to compare.

College has started

I did it. I woke up at 6.10 a.m. I've got to get used to this as I currently have two 8.00 a.m. classes. Damn! I doubt I'll be able to do this every week. I'm not used to sleeping early and waking up so early, I mean I wake up at 2.00 p.m.

Last day of hols.....

Oh no! The holidays are almost over. Classes start tomorrow. I've just wasted away 1 month sleeping like a pig. And now I feel like one. *YAWN* Man, I feel so sleepy! Must be sleeping too much. I'm sure I won't be able to wake up at six tomorrow. Luckily tutorials don't start till next week.

The last days of holidays.....
Slept till 2.30 p.m. Record breaking. Hahaha. Had to help make floss rolls today. the skin was acting really stupid. Had a hard time making the end stick to the rest of the roll. My mom kept saying do slowly and don't be impatient. Hah! When I do work for her and I'm slow she'll say; "Let me do. I'm faster." Look who's talking!

Damn my idiot brother. He thinks he is the king of the world and wishes to take over the universe (well not quite). I was using the computer last night and he told me that he wanted to use. I didn't know I'll be using till quite late (playing games). I eventually finished at around 2 a.m. this morning. And just only I wanted to use the computer. He said; "Don't use till 2 a.m. again." What the F***?He thinks he owns the computer. There's another computer, why can't he use that one to check his e-mail instead???? Oh no.......he says his files are on the other computer and that he needs to use them to check his e-mail. What utter RUBBISH! So now I'm stuck using the "smaller, not so canggih" computer because His Highness needs to use the "bigger" one. I would really like to vent my frustration on something/somebody right now. Alas, I can't! I'll be told off if I do.

Hmph! Went to college today because thought could get next semester's timetable. It was a complete waste of time & money (=petrol). Even the graduates' list isn't out.

It was my college's orientation week. Hahaha....'ickle firsties.

Should I? Or should I not?

I'm thinking of growing my hair long so that I wouldn't have to go cut my hair so very often which is quite costly. But If I do let it grow it'll look like a mess in between the growing-long process. I've experienced it in secondary school. And what more, my hair is curly.This'll be a hard decision to make before college starts.

Another thing, I wanna get my teeth straightened. Too costly though. And I won't be able to chew chewing gum for as long as I'm wearing braces.

Chi's 21st birthday party

Celebrated chi's 21st birthday in Gor-ee's house on Saturday (21st May 2005). Went to Gor-ee's house at around 3 p.m. to help set up stuff and 'cook' some food. Rach & Gav fetched us up to Subang. Started off by 'pau-ing' wanton. I was deemed to be stingy as I put too little fish paste in the wanton while Rach put almost one tablespoon (excuse the exaggeration) of fish paste till the wanton skin tore. Then Chi & me cut some vegetables with much stupidness & slowness. Then Gor-ee decided to fry the wanton. Started off really bad, almost burnt the first wanton (the skin actually, with the bottom part looking uncooked). Finished off really well though. The we set up the tables. Although the party was supposed to start at 7.30 p.m., some of her friends had to come early by 1 hour to do I-don't-know what. And so her friends started arriving. Family members too. Party started and blah blah blah. Cut the cake first before dinner, just to get the cake out of the way I guess. Yes!!!! Got to drink Pong Tay. Salty but yummy!!!! Too much food in my opinion. I guess the party was a success. All her friends turned up and there were no gatecrashers/ party poopers. I would like to say something about SOME of her friends though (no offence to anyone, ya). This happened when I was in dining area and some of her friends wanted to leave. So before leaving I guess they wanted to thank my mum for the food and stuff. I was listening to my auntie who was talking to my uncle. Suddenly out of the blues I hear someone calling 'Wai Yee's sister.' So, I turned around and saw them standing at the door. They asked for my mum & I went to get her. I was thinking 'What the bloody hell???' 'I have a name you know, you insolent b*****s,' I wanted to tell them and one of them clearly knows my name. Damn them!!!!!!! Anyway, had a good night. Enjoyed being by myself reading a book with no one disturbing me, well, not exactly no one disturbing me. I meant to say with hardly anyone disturbing me. I still owe my sister a birthday present. Can't figure out what to get for her. Maybe I'll just give her an IOU for now.

Just got back from Gor-ee's house. Had dinner there: leftover food from Saturday. Pong Tay again....yay!!!!!!! Played Taboo. Had a really fun time. Wasn't good at the game, though. Mind keeps going blank when is turn to give clues. One clue I gave was hillarious: The word was comb; I said it was a long thing with teeth.....nobody got it. Gave some really weird answers: e.g. Q:What do you do to make a horse go faster?; A:Wallop it....hahahaha.
Am still coughing and having a flu. I do hope I'll get better before college starts.

By the way, I passed my exam. This means I'll be able to go on to Advanced Diploma in Commerce (Financial Accounting). Yay!!!! I must have gotten Ds for both papers, though. Oh well, it doesn't matter cos I won't be stuck in Diploma. Phew!!

Still sick

*SIGH~~~~~~*. Still sick as ever. Now have the flu and the occasional cough is still going on. Luckily I'm still on holiday. If I was having classes now I'd be in a fit of rage with myself. Just finished downloading Jamie Cullum's two albums. Listening to them now. Sounds good, though am not exactly a jazz fan.

Sick

I'm currently sick...not sick in bed, though...not that bad.

Bought oranges from Pasar Malam
Felt hungry
Ate a lot
Slept late
Woke up on Wednesday
With a blocked nose
And the stupid sore throat
And a slight headache
Body still aches
Keep fighting my antibodies
Win the battle over them viruses soon

Now, a little review on Sepet. The movie had a nice plot. The direction, or could have been the editing, wasn't very good though. The scenes kept changing very abruptly. Didn't have a good ending too, not by my standards anyway. But seems they won awards. I do not know for what...maybe for best title...hahaha. But it was quite funny, some parts were anyway. I'd give the movie credit for that.

Bye Jee-ee & Jee-teow

Jee-ee & Jee-teow went back to Holland yesterday (12th May 2005 11.10 p.m.). They were here for 3 weeks. It seemed like they were here for a week only. They had to leave so soon. WIsh they could have stayed longer. Now it would be back to normal boring holidays.
Sent them off at the airport. Took some photos at the airport. Hope they'll be back soon. Missing them already.

Genting Highlands

9th May 2005: Left Selangor at around 2.00 p.m. for Genting Highlands. Don't remember what time we reached there though. Checked in at First World Hotel. Mum forgot bag, sad. Had something to eat/drink in Starbucks after checking in. Went to First World Indoor Theme Park. Four of us (Chi, Kat, Liesl & me) bought tickets to sit rides in Indoor Theme Park. RM 19 per person (adult) & RM 16 per child. We wanted to make our (I mean, Uncle Kim Sing's) money's worth so sat all the rides except those we were too big to sit on. We sat the Euro Express 6 or 7 times. The reason being we wanted to get a perfect picture (i.e. all of us looking at the camera attached to a wall somewhere which takes pictures of the people on the coaster at some point of the ride) of us on the ride. And finally we made that perfect shot with all of us looking at the camera. YES! Kat bought the picture and will soon scan and e-mail it to us. She paid RM 5 for the 4R photo. EXPENSIVE! After having some fun in the theme park, we went for a buffet dinner at 7.30 p.m. which was complimentary with the hotel rooms. Had a very fast dinner as had to rush for a 9.00 p.m. show at The Pavilion. The show was called X-Treme Push the Limits! It was an extremely good show. There were a lot of dancing and some stunts. Ahkoo & Uncle Chin Kee paid to go in while chi, Kat, Liesl & me had complimentary tickets because of our room package. The show was 1 hour 15 minutes. After that the four of us went and continued playing in the theme park. Went for the Motion Master which was a complete waste of time. Went back to our rooms at around 12 a.m.

10th May 2005: Was up with chi & Kat till around 4.30 a.m. We were having a chat and completely forgot the time. Liesl already K.O.ed in Ahkoo's suite before going back to the room. I didn't mention about our rooms yet. It's really small with two single beds per room. The sink is on the left once you enter the room door. The bathroom and toilet are in two different "cubicles". The room doesn't even have soap & shampoo. So kiam siap one. Anyway, woke up at 8.30 a.m. Got ready to go out but had to wait for chi & Kat to wake up. Finally they woke up when all the aunties came and woke them up, I mean it'll be impossible to not wake up when so many people are screaming in your ear. Went for breakfast at McDonalds. I wanted a cup of hot Milo. Didn't know McDs did not have hot Milo so had to drink ice cold Milo in the morning in Genting Highlands. Then went to Outdoor Theme Park. Billy Ahkoo gave us money to pay for our unlimited pass. RM 30 per person (adult) & RM 20 per child. We got 25% off though. First ride: Space Shot. Only three of us sat. Liesl didn't dare to. Waited for quite a while as there were many people (lots of Indians). Laughed at those screaming while waiting. Very excited to get on the ride. When it was our turn, we were screaming before we even reached the top. I bet people down there were laughing at us. This was my second time sitting it but still felt, not scared, but nervous I guess. The fall down was excellent! Sat very few rides. It started raining after our third ride. So had to go indoors. Should have gone outdoors the previous day with Rench & Raymond when the weather was good. After a while the rain stopped. Went outdoors again. Got in line at the Bumper Boats. Waited for twenty minutes then finally got to play for ten minutes. Then it started getting very misty. The rides stopped operating. Didn't get any better so went to have lunch. Ate some pasar-malam tasting burger. Before leaving the theme park, chi & me got to sit one last ride, the swinging thingy. Went home at around 3.30 p.m. very tired. Had dinner in Subang. Came back.

Monday

Celebrated Jee Teow's (10th May) & Uncle Chin Kee's(8th May) birthdays yesterday. Felt like a fool yesterday. Was too blind and not alert to be able to see the drain. One leg fell into the drain while knee of other leg hit the floor. Damn! Oh well, guess I should be more alert next time.

Today, going up to Genting Highlands. Staying there for a night, coming back tomorrow.

I'm currently readingThe Dragon Empress. I started reading it yesterday at my aunt's house but it was too noisy so i stopped at the 3rd page....hahaha. I'm sure that I can finish reading all three books before college starts as there really isn't anything to do (please read previous posts to get a picture of how bored I am).

Oh, and the Hello software sucks. I don't know how to post pictures on my blog. It ain't user friendly!!!!
